The Dave Matthews Band brings its summer 2010 tour to the Sleep Train Amphitheatre on Friday, Aug. 27. The 49-date tour kicked off on May 28 at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Conn., and will run to Sept. 15; the final date is at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
The Dave Matthews Band began in 1991 in Charlottesville, Va., when bartender Dave Matthews decided to record some songs he had written. The band released its first album in 1993, "Remember Two Things," but it wasn't until its 1995 major label debut "Under the Table and Dreaming" that the band saw true success.
Since then, the band has toured relentlessly, often topping the list of highest-grossing touring bands. Its concerts are notorious for much jamming and free-flowing improvisation during songs.
You can expect the same at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre.
