SPECIAL EVENT: NATIONAL ALPACA DAY CELEBRATION
Join Gutier Alpacas and SoFiFA (Soft Fine Fiber Association) celebrating “National Alpaca Days” with a free family event this weekend, September 26-27, from 10am to 4pm at our new 10-acre facility at 6780 McCourtney Road in Lincoln, CA.
The weekend will be filled with lots of fun activities for all ages: coloring contest, spinning demos, fiber products, Peruvian gifts, refreshments, jump house, and investment packages.
Meet and greet some of our good will ambassador/therapy alpacas, including Milo and VanGogh, who will be center stage throughout the day. Get up close and personal with alpaca mommies and babies (crias) as you mingle with them in their very own pasture, complete with toys, wide open spaces, and splash zones.
Maybe you have seen Gutier Alpacas (creator/founder of SoFiFA) at the Galleria, The Fountains of Roseville, hospitals and parks, in Monterey, Mill Valley, San Francisco, Old Town Sacramento, Auburn, El Dorado Hills, at holiday celebrations, fairs and parades, or wading in the ocean along the Northern California Coast.
Smile, relax, and enjoy life with alpacas. Activities will run both days. Learn about and enjoy our cute, fuzzy alpacas…they’re all waiting to visit with you!
Directions: Just follow the signs and look for the alpacas!
WHO WE ARE:
SoFiFA, which stands for “Soft Fine Fiber Association”, was created for preserving the soft fine fiber characteristics of this wonderful animal, the alpaca.
Currently, SoFiFA holds 25 members and is the largest alpaca facility in Northern California with over 300 alpacas grazing and roaming in our fields. Our alpacas consist of a variety of blood lines, colors and age groups, giving SoFiFA the capacity to offer more options to those who are interested in investing in the alpaca industry.
